My name is Jorel. I have tentatively accepted a one year job in Bahrain. I will bring my wife and child with me once I get settled. I saw a really nice post describing different areas in which to live. Based off of that post alone by Cleo, I feel like Juffair might be the area that I start my search with.

I want to start researching different companies to work with referencing housing and a vehicle. Any input from you ladies and gentlemen would be extremely appreciated.

I intend to spend at most BHD 500 for all aspects of the housing.

Thank you, all.

Welcome aboard Jorel!
Hope you will find new friends here in Bahrain  ;)

Hello Al!

Welcome to Bahrainside!

What about visas you can review the topic here:,1003.0.html

Hamala is quite good area but besides Grave hills I cannot recognize anything special.

What about your baby, there is Ajyaal Montessori school in Hamala but it is for children from 2 years to 5 years old. One of the best school - British school of Bahrain is aslo located  in Hamana.

I believe that everything will be ok with your baby.
However you must remember that it is very hot in Bahrain in summer.

What about a car - you can rent it for the first time.
